Is a hot tub advisable for pregnant women?

Pregnancy causes many physical changes in a woman’s body. A hot bath during pregnancy can help reduce muscle and joint pains that are often associated with this period of life.
It also relaxes the muscles of the back, thighs and calves – all those parts of the body that are stressed during pregnancy.

Can a pregnant woman use a hot tub?

Always consult a doctor before starting any form of spa treatment.
Unless your doctor recommends otherwise, you can use a hot tub while pregnant, but preferably in the second trimester of pregnancy and at least a month before your due date.
Using a hot tub during pregnancy can help ease discomfort and improve the overall health of mothers-to-be.

On the other hand, as for the massage itself, it should be gentle and not cause pressure on the abdomen. It is also advisable that the water temperature should not exceed 37°C.
